Guest Services

Hilltop on High Street Bed and Breakfast provides luxury and character with modern conveniences. Accommodation includes many services for guests to use at their leisure. Whether making a cup of coffee or preparing a home cooked meal, we want our guests to feel right at home, guests are also welcome to unwind in the living room. Children and families are most welcome. Hilltop is a non smoking environment.

Tariff
includes the following guest facilities and services listed below:

  • Continental Breakfast - range of cereals, fresh fruit and home baking. Please inform us of any dietary requirements
  • Tea & Coffee
  • Parking - all day free on-street parking
  • WiFi - complimentary internet
  • Guest Laptop
  • Laundry including washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board 
  • Extensive DVD Library 
  • Additional hot cooked breakfast is available on request (an extra charge is required for this service) 

Guest Areas

There are many areas around the house that are available for guests to access and use at their leisure.
  • Gardens - landscape gardens surround the house including outdoor seating.
  • Balcony - provides spectacular views of Dunedin and harbour, tables and chairs are provided and this area can be directly accessed from the guest rooms.
  • Dining Room - can be used for guest own dining or workspace.
  • Communal Living Room - guests can use to relax in or watch TV. This room can also be used for small business meetings, conferences or family gatherings.
  • Kitchen - fully equipped kitchen available for guests if they wish to prepare own meals

Children and Families

Children and families are welcome, a cot is available on site for infants but no high chair. Children travelling with Adults and sharing room 0-5yrs no charge, 6-16yrs $20 per night, 17yrs above incurs full tariff.

Hilltop Booking Terms and Conditions

Cancellation Policy - Late cancellations have a significant impact on our business. Travel insurance which protects against unexpected charges to your travel agenda is recommended. If cancellation occurs within 72 hours of arrival, or a no-show, the full tariff will be charged. No charges incurred if cancellation is received in writing or notification prior to 72 hours of booking arrival time. 

For bookings made through our on-line booking system, a refund outside of the 72 hour cancellation period will incur a cancellation fee of 10% of total booking charges, this is due to bank fees.  
 
Check In & Check Out - Check in is from 2pm, when booking please provide an estimate of your arrival time. Guests are welcome to leave luggage at the house for early check in if the room is not ready. Check out time is no later than 10am. If you wish for a later check out time please notify us in advance, we are happy to assist the best way we can.
