Rodney McDonald

Hilltop on High Street is owned and managed by a true-blue southerner, Rodney McDonald. Typically Kiwi, he's travelled the world and returned home to take advantage of the best of his experiences. He appreciates that sometimes travellers like to luxuriate in a space that’s friendly, welcoming and a little bit special.
Rodney first started in the tourism business at his property in the Catlins, simply called Hilltop Accommodation. It fast became a haven for the distinguished traveller looking for tranquility with breathtaking scenery. Rodney grew up on a sheep farm and continued farming right up until he moved to Hilltop in 2004.
Rodney is a down to earth all rounder great guy and is always pleased to see you, as your host he will make your stay so pleasant you won't want to leave!
